What Sets Me Apart

Not Just a Résumé. A Road.

What sets my work apart is the integration of lived narrative intelligence, insight drawn not just from decades of global advisory experience, but from immersive, place-based work in communities across the U.S. and abroad. Since 2022, I’ve lived and worked full-time in more than 30 cities across three continents—from red states to blue, borderlands to barrios in Central and South America, to cities and villages in Europe. This wasn’t a sabbatical. It was a slow, intentional immersion into the stories, tensions, and cultural undercurrents most decision-makers only read about.Three truths I’ve learned:
• Messaging without meaning fails.
• Strategy without lived insight misfires.
• And trust isn’t built by volume, it’s built by relevance.

Lived Narrative Intelligence

Real Stories. Real Relevance.

That’s why I bring lived narrative intelligence to every engagement—to help leaders see more clearly, connect more deeply, and lead more meaningfully. What I’ve found is this:
• Culture isn’t diagnosed in a conference room.
• Polls offer signals, but lived experience is strategic data.
• And narrative work must reflect the realities of people’s lives, or it will miss them entirely.
If your messaging isn’t landing or your strategy isn’t building trust, the problem may not be your words. It may be your vantage point.

Places Teach Us Things

Strategy doesn’t happen in a vacuum, and culture doesn’t live in a deck. And if your audience isn’t listening, it might be because they’ve never been seen. For the past three years, I’ve lived and worked in places most strategies overlook. Not as a tourist. As a neighbor. A witness. From red states to blue, barrios to borderlands, global capitals to post-industrial towns, I’ve listened, observed, and lived where the gaps in trust, relevance, and connection are most visible, and most urgent. Each place reshaped how I think about narrative, leadership, and what it means to matter to the people you’re trying to reach.Austin • Antwerp • Boise • Bogota • Boston • Brussels • Cartagena • Charleston • Chicago

Life, Uncontained

Stories from the road, and the deeper terrain beneath it.Life, Uncontained is where I explore identity, disconnection, culture, and rediscovery through essays and fieldnotes shaped by living and working across more than 30 cities on three continents. This isn’t travel writing. It’s strategic storytelling with soul, drawn from barrios and borderlands, city halls and family shelters, conversations with Uber drivers and civic leaders alike. These are reflections that challenge surface narratives and invite us to rethink what proximity, perspective, and belonging really mean in a fractured world.I write for those who care about culture and context. For leaders rethinking how they communicate meaningfully. For anyone wrestling with what it means to feel at home—in your work, your story, or yourself. If you’re navigating disruption or simply drawn to stories that connect the personal and political, the global and local, I hope you’ll take a look.
